Another compilation of my grandfathers old photographs of the Pacific theater. If you ask him about them, he says "That was almost 70 years ago, I don't remember much." I'm sure he really knows lots of stories, but these pictures are pretty obscure.
He was all over the pacific war; Australia, New Guinea, Philippines, Guadalcanal, Layte Gulf, and numerous other tiny unknown islands.
So what you see is what you get pretty much. P-38s, a shot along a muddy looking road with the planes being worked on, and a crashed (Japanese?) boat-plane along a riverbed.
