Staff of Charon space ship. I thought it was cool, so I compiled some photos of it. This appeared while watching 'Red vs. Blue' season 10 episode 4. (For those who would like to see it yourself: [link] )

Red vs. blue is loosely based of the Halo Universe. The Staff of Charon is one of the types of UNSC destroyer class ships, just like there are several models of UNSC frigate class ships.

Apparently the frigate class is more desirable and/or versatile than the destroyer class since in the Halo games, you never really see any destroyers, the most common UNSC ship you see up close tend to be a frigate of some sort.

Anyways Enjoy, hope you like it. Thanks for any faves.

I do not own Halo or RedvsBlue by RoosterTeeth in anyway, they belong to their respective owners. All I did was compile and set up some screen shots to get a good view of the ship.

Is it bad that the first good representation of a UNSC Destroyer comes from someone other than Bungie or 343?

Well yes and no. Yes Bungie/343 should have had a representation of it. BUT if anyone else were to do it, it would have to be Rooster Teeth. RvB has been around since the beginning of Halo. And the cast and crew have worked along side the Halo developers in terms of promotion. They themselves (or their RvB characters) have been in the games as Easter eggs.

Roosterteeth's choice to use the destroyer in the manner they did was again likely just a creative decision, and the destroyer would be a much more difficult opponent for the Mother of Invention even with her AI and The Director in command.

Excellent job capturing these pictures, but to elaborate the Frigate is the most common class of UNSC ship and you are correct about them being more versatile. However the main reason the destroyer isn't see throughout the games (at least from my understanding) is that the destroyer's physical look wasn't established until the graphic novel Halo Wars: Genesis which came out in 2009, years after Halo 3's release in 2007. It is entirely possible that it was more from a creative standpoint that Bungie decided not to include the destroyer beforehand and design it themselves, although I believe I read somewhere that the frigate In Amber Clad from Halo 2 was first planned to be a destroyer but based upon Erik Nylund's description in Halo: The Fall of Reach it would have been rather powerful (although compared to the Covenant it isn't) for what they had planned and from a lore standpoint they aren't as versatile or even deployed to support ground operations (Which the Clad did in Halo 2) and are primarily used for fleet escort and direct combat. Just thought Id drop some knowledge for ya
